SC 170 ALT: Appeared in 1972 as an upgrade to S-27-117 and S-27-92, running from US 17 ALT (now US 17) near the Savannah River north through Levy's Station to end at SC 46-170. The northern half of this had been SC 461 decades earlier.
In 2013, SC 170 ALT was renumbered as SC 315. SC 170 ALT was one of 2 ALT routes in the modern era to not reconnect with its parent.
