TN 40 Byp: Appeared about 1973 as new expressway from I-75 around the south and east of Cleveland to US 64. Note that the part between I-75 and US 11-64 was open a few years first but I do not know what designation it carried.
In 1983, TN 40 Bypass was renumbered as TN 311 from I-75 to TN 60 and TN 60 the rest of the way around to US 64.
