Creation: Appeared between 1957-60 running from WV 42 Scherr to US 50 Claysville. This was an upgrade to CR 42/3, CR 1/1, CR 1, and CR 5. This is the 2nd WV 93.
| Adjustments: Between 1962-64, WV 93 was extended with WV 42 to Bismarck, then west as new primary routing to the New Stony River Reservoir In 1965 or 1966, WV 93 was extended west as new routing to WV 32 Davis. In Nov 2016 (aaroads forum), WV 93 was placed on the new Corridor H alignment between Davis and WV 42 in the places where it was not built directly on top of WV 93. A couple segments of Old Route 93 remain behind. In July 2017 (tm forum), WV 93 east was extended along US 50, then replaced WV 972 north to US 220.
Improvements: Upon designation, WV 93 was fully paved. The brief extension to the New Stony River Reservoir may not have been paved, though the extension to Davis was. WV 93 is multilaned on its Corridor H overlay, since 2016. Comment: WV 93 between Davis and Bismarck (even before US 48) and from Scherr to US 50 is surprisingly gentle terrain. | Previous WV 93's:

WV 93 #1: Appeared 1930 (WVDOH Annual Report) replacing US 250 from Moundsville to Limestone.
In 1931, WV 93 was renumbered as part of WV 88. Today it is again US 250. Does not appear on any WV map I have seen but it does appear on the 1931 Ohio Official Map.
