Adjustments: In 2001, I-185 south was extended east to I-385/US 276 Mauldin as South Carolina's first tolled interstate.

Improvements: 4 lane freeway since inception.
Comment: I-185's new toll section allows movement from I-385 NB to I-85 SB or US 123 SB (via US 25 or SC 153), a movement made by many people trying to get to Clemson University from downstate (though not the way I would go...)
